LOM children’s classes are best for kids ages 3 to 12. Teachers adjust the lesson based on the age and language skill level of the class.
For teens 13+, we recommend checking out our teen & adult Spanish classes. Find more information on our Spanish classes page.
Children’s group and private classes are 25 minutes long via Zoom.
Teen and adult private classes can be 25 or 50 minutes. Group classes are one hour.
No, all experience levels are welcome!
Kids with similar language levels will be put in the same group class.
Adults and teens are invited to take private classes to get personalized instruction for their specific language level.
After creating an account, you are able to preview class schedules prior to purchasing.
Please log in to see all the current class time offerings. In general, we provide children’s classes in the mornings, afternoons and evenings to accommodate every family’s schedule.
Note that if you are enrolling in a children’s group class, there must be at least one other student (of a similar age and language level) available at that time in order to form a class.
It really depends on your child’s personality and your goals for their learning!
Group classes are great for regularly seeing cousins or friends who don’t live nearby and also great for motivating social children who enjoy seeing their friends.
Private classes offer a more focused learning environment, and could be good for kids who would be distracted by (or be distracting to!) other kids and for those who are wanting to maximize their child’s speaking during every class.
Pricing varies for children’s classes and teen/adult classes.
Children’s Classes:
Pricing is per class, with automatic discounts for more classes! Group classes are $10.40 – $13 each and private classes are $20 – $25 each, depending on how many you buy.
Teen & Adult Classes:
Private classes are $20 for 25 minutes or $35 for 50 minutes. Group class pricing varies by semester. Please see our Pricing page for the latest details and for discounts.
When you register, you have the opportunity to “try out” the first week of classes risk-free. If for any reason you feel that the virtual learning platform is not a good fit for your child, you can simply email support@languageonmission.org to discuss other options or to request a full refund.
